By: The Citizen
Mark your calendars for Monday, May 26th, when the City of Senoia and the Downtown Development Authority will hold its third annual Memorial Day parade and festivities for the whole family. Entertainment, food, children's activities, and shopping from 10:00 to 5:00 will be followed by a fireworks display after dark. The U.S. Army Ground Forces Band will march in the 2:00 p.m. parade and present a concert afterwards. Emcees will be "The Car Guys," Scott Sargeant and Charlie Filkins. The City is seeking parade participants such as Veterans, businesses, dance troupes, civic organizations, owners of vintage cars and trucks, etc. Quality art, antiques and homemade crafts vendors are also wanted for the festival (no yard sale items, please). Vendor spaces can be purchased for a $30 setup fee. Check out the city website at Senoia.com for details. For more information and/or applications for the parade and vendor booth space, please contact Gail Downs at 770-599-9155 or Suzanne Helfman at 770-599-8182. login or register to post comments
