Mrs. Martha Glanton Colwell of Peachtree City, and Joseph Daniel Colwell of Fayetteville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelli Elizabeth Colwell, to Coy Wayne Dean Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Dean of Athens, Ga.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Corie E. Glanton and the late Mr. Glanton of Molena, and the late Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Colwell, Jr. of Zebulon. She is a 1998 graduate of the University of Georgia where she earned a bachelor’s degree in speech communication. She currently is employed as a healthcare risk consultant with Potter-Holden & Company in Atlanta.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry R. Couch of Athens, and Mr. and Mrs. George Walker Dean of Athens. He is a 2002 graduate of Augusta State University in Augusta, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. He currently is employed as a commercial producer with BB&T Insurance Services in Athens.

An April wedding is planned in Peachtree City. Following the honeymoon, the couple will reside in Athens, Ga.
