Robert "Bob" Downing, 74, Palmetto, died April 20, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Margaret Downing. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Pastor Justin Kollmeyer officiating. Survivors include his wife, Lynne Downing, Palmetto; a son, Kurtis S. Downing, Palmetto; a daughter, Kristin B. and Jeffery Wilson, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Nicholas R. M. Wilson, Christopher S. C. Wilson, and Jillian A. Wilson, all of Fayetteville; a brother, R. Bruce Downing, Lima, Pa.; and special friend, Greg Pasquarella, Palmetto. Memorial donations may be made to the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 257 Hwy. 314, Fayetteville, GA 30214. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
