Kudos to their speechwriters, give them a pat on the back, but now what have the Obamas accomplished over the last forty years that have you in such a tizzy?
Let's see:
1-Graduated college
2-elected to the Senate (yet to author legislation of consequence)
3-Published two books that are odds on favorites to have ghost writers
4-Attended church for twenty years
Get the picture?

Well, actually it's beaver that's experiencing a 'tizzy' by posting the Obama speeches. I'm just paraphrasing for him.

As far as presidential qualifications, Republicans have a history of promoting candidates with odd 'accomplishments' for example, one candidate in the past being a Hollywood actor and more recently, a recovered druggie and alcoholic.

One of Obama's many appeals is that he is NOT part of the Washington establishment that is embraced by both Clinton and McCain.

Oh, wasn't it a young, John F. Kennedy who had that same problem, of being young and less accomplished?

Main, your point is well taken, however both were successful governors of their respective states. Yes, it was Kennedy who brought a breath of fresh air to Washington and gave all of us substantial hope for America's future.

Although a bit more "seasoned" than Mr Obama I would contend especially with his record of service with the Navy, but wasn't it he who brought us to the precipice of nuclear proliferation in 1962. Notwithstanding the fiasco in Cuba, I, for one, would take issue with with a lack of character and not for the Clintonesque conduct but for the abandonment of a cause.

That said, I truly would like to have experienced a second Kennedy term because I believe it likely that the world that we have would have been shaped much differently than we have now.

was also the former Governor of California, that has one of the largest economies in the world. The other had a problem with alcohol over 20 YEARS ago and has since never drank.Oh, and he was also a governor from Texas, also boasting a huge economy. Seems alittle more than being a senator for a couple of years.

It's a shame that he didn't use that "experience", of being Gov. of Texas, to strengthen our economy, instead of running into the ground.

That type of "experience" seems to be very much overrated, according to his current 71% disapproval rating.

Our country deserves better than what Bush/McSame and the Washington insiders keep feeding us.

Bush had plenty of experiance, and put it to use. Too bad his experiance was in running enterprizes into the ground.

Reminds me of the term "dream job". I have had some bad dreams.
