Fayetteville Scouts earn Eagle Scout rankWed, 05/14/2008 - 9:47am

Boy Scout Troop 212 from Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Fayetteville honored its three newest Eagle Scouts on Monday, April 1, with an Eagle Scout Court of Honor. Cory Furches, Michael Mosgrove and Russell Lightfoot have earned the highest advancement award from the Boy Scouts of America. On their trail to Eagle Scout, all three have earned 26 merit badges and five rank awards. In addition, each has shown leadership by planning and directing a service project that benefits an organization in their local community. Their Eagle Scout projects were completed at the Fayette Family YMCA. Furches completed the Capture the Flag area and picnic tables. Mosgrove completed picnic tables for the picnic shelter. Lightfoot completed benches for the archery range. Cory Furches is the son of Debi and Eric Furches, Michael Mosgrove is the son of Crystal and David Mosgrove and Russell Lightfoot is the son of Cathy and Russell Lightfoot, all of Fayetteville.
