New gun packers

I have always cringed when on the evening news the reporters show us a composite sketch of the criminal s described to them by the victim, whom we will now show to you on film!
If I am a criminal, and I know that my victim is going to describe me because I have seen it on TV, then I might make sure that they won't be able to do that! Describe me, that is.

If we are to have people now packing guns who aren't law officers into public places, as authorized by our red-nek state government, then if I am a criminal, I am going to assume everyone has one and shoot first!
I don't know the reasons given for such authorizations, but I have to assume it is for self protection--no matter whom I may kill!

The differenceis that now it is legal to arm yourself in the areas where the law enforcement has proven they can not protect you. If you choose not to LEGALLY obatain, lincense and carry a weapon, that is your choice, and I support it. But, do not force your opinion on me, I have LEAGALLY carried since I was 21 years old and was able to use that constitution right, never had to use it and I am glad. But have know many that the only reason they are still alive is because they did also.

I salute our law enforcement officers, they have a job that is very tough, they are the one willing to stand between you and a bullet, for little pay, but at some point we have to take responsibilty for our own protection, and a mandate to do it legally.

It is a proven fact that if you outlaw weapons and the right to carry them only two segments of society will have them, criminals and goverment, and both are equally scarry.

If you were a criminal you "might" do that anyway. I don't think the new law would affect their decision making in that regard. I don't follow your logic.
