Tyrone still exempt from State Law

Tyrone’s new council continues to operate in violation of State Law. The latest, according to the Tyrone web site, concerns the new budget. State law requires local governments to adopt a balanced budget (revenues must equal expenses). According to the Tyrone web site this council only adopted an expense budget. Where are the revenue budget that shows a balanced budget? If they did adopt a revenue budget why are they hiding it? Again, a group that ran on the promise of open government and lied.

Is Tyrone also paying for Christine Venice's health insurance? According to Jack Smith, Chairman of Fayette Commissioners, Fayette County is paying for Venice's health insurance until she qualifies for medicare. What a rip off of taxpayer's money. Something drastic must be done about our elected representatives. They don't represent the taxpayers. And what is Tyrone doing with these dismissed Fayette employee retreads anyway? What does Venice's contract say?
