Well, certainly not his brother, Barack Obama or his wife Michelle. Otherwise, I'm sure he would be living on more than $1 per month.

I think it will be better to stick to the issues, rather than 'vet' the 'moral' history of the two candidates.

Are there any 'issues' that you care to discuss? We remember when the Republican 'rumor mongers' went after McCain and his 'black daughter'. Intimating that he had a relationship with a 'black' woman - when actually Cindy had adopted a lovely girl from Bangladesh. Your attempt to denigrate Obama in this manner regarding a 'rumor' surrounding his brother - (which by the way his brother has commented on it - but of course you and the 'conservative' media would not want to 'report' his comments.) Our country is in trouble - we don't need for radical right-wingers like you to appeal to what you think is the interest of most Americans. You exposed yourselves in the last election - we see you for what you are. There will be other reasons for people to make their decision in November. Their decisions will be based on what party will get us back on the road to peace, security, and world respect.

If "America agrees with this assessment", as you state, why is Barack barely hanging onto a 2% lead in the polls?

It is because America now sees that he is bereft of charachter, intelligence, experience, common sense, and decency. It probably came from attending a racist, hate-filled, anti-American church for over 20 years.

Hey Jeff, speaking of Cindy McCain, I heard today that Cindy McCain made John McCain sign a pre-nuptial agreement before she'd marry him (very prudent, methinks, given McCain's history of adultery).

If Cindy McCain doesn't trust John with her money, why should America trust him?

Well, Jeff – that one sure is a knee-slapper. I almost fell off my chair on that one. Barack’s brother is in Africa, barely surviving on $1.00 month, while Barack continually berates America about it’s own moral failings. When Pastor Rick Warren asked Barack about what he considered America’s greatest moral failure at the recent Saddleback “Civil Forum on the Presidency,” Senator Obama answered by saying, “its insufficient help to the disadvantaged.” Senator Obama then referenced the Bible and quoted Jesus’ admonition that, “Whatever you do for the least of my brothers, you do for me.”
Meanwhile, Barack's own brother is destitute and on the verge of starvation. So much for doing for the "least of my brothers".

In contrast, Senator McCain and his wife adopted a poor girl from Bangledesh. Barack is a cad and hypocrite at best. How dare he continually berate America for not living up to it’s promise, when he won’t even help out his own family. What a snake.

Fred - First of all, Barrack Obama's 'brother' is actually his 'half-brother' from his natural father. Obama's father left him and his mother when he was very young and started a new family in Kenya. It wasn't until fairly recently that each of these men found out they were even related. 'George' Obama does live in Africa - Kenya to be exact - and his living conditions may not live up to United Sates Standards, but he is not barely surviving as you would have people believe. He actually goes to a community college and is studying to be a Mechanic. If you google his name, you can watch a video of him being interviewed. He's dressed in a nice pair of jeans, a button down shirt, pull over sweater and nice sneakers. Plus, who knows what Barrack and George's arrangements or relationship is. Maybe he's just not plastering it all over the media.

And, in contrast, Cindi McCain has told dozens of reporters that she is an 'only child', when she in fact has TWO half-sisters - one on her mother's side and one on her father's. I guess she isn't considered a cad and a hypocrite though because, after all, at least one of her sister's got $10,000 from daddy's will, right?

We know that for decades the Republican strategery for diverting attention from issues to bogus and banal trivialities has worked well for them but we have also learned to check out the facts.

But reports surfaced in the past few days, springing from an Italian Vanity Fair article saying George Obama is living in a shack and "earning less than a dollar a day."

The reports left him angry.

"I was brought up well. I live well even now," he said. "The magazines, they have exaggerated everything.

First of all, the article is suspect to begin with because it comes from a left-wing liberal website that's in the tank for Obama. CNN makes stuff up as they go along.

Second, George is standing in front of a shack in the picture.
