This is beneath you, mate. John McCain is even giving up these lines of attack. Know why? Because it didn't work for him; didn't work for Hillary; doesn't work at all when the weight of the world is literally on the people pulling the levers in the voting booths.

Have you noticed that most even-tempered folks on here refer to the candidates by their names(Now, mind you. Sniffles and Mainstream are NOT even tempered. They're really ticked!)? I don't call McCain anything other than John or McCain or Senator McCain when I feel like typing a bit more. I called USArmy brat "brat" for short (like I use Main or Snif) and she was horribly offended. So I guess what I don't get is how conservatives who are so easily offended act in ways you yourselves find offensive when the shoe is on the other hand. The wild things shouted out at the ground-losing republican campaign rallies are not too christiany these days. It's sad to see a party lose its soul in an effort to win an election. John McCain appears to have regained his grip on the reins of his stage coach and he's scolding those that shout out "terrorist" and "Arab," but he is about 10 campaign stops too late. The scab has really been ripped off of you guys and it isn't pretty.

And to think, you don't even have a counter argument to Governor Palin and her husband's support of a separatist, insurgent group of Alaskans. How will you win the argument of "dangerous associations" without even offering a defense? And how will you win a battle for ideas by stooping to the "Obama Hussein Barack" thing that has a Florida Sherrif in very hot water and a GOP campaign chairman looking for a new job?

If one's soul is lost for uttering the name Hussein, what horror is due to those who named him?

I remember Bill Clinton being called "William Jefferson Clinton" often -- among other, far more unsavory, things.

At the very least, it is interestingly coincidental that the guy shares a name with somebody like the former dictator of Iraq. I happen to think it's nothing more than a coincidence, but it is interesting nonetheless.

One or two of the uber-rich used to use the name Roosevelt as a pejorative. Of course, he was a rich white dude himself.

In the course of American history, this presidential election season isn't all that ugly. The problem is more that both parties sent up two total douches.

I myself am voting for the brother, but my reasons are rather strange -- even to me.

America does have lots of problems, and we need honest people with good judgement, character, and morals to lead us through.

Obama, Pelosi, and Reid have none of those characteritics.

the fact that you can apply the concept of good morals to the mccain/palin ticket just shows that you only watch fox news.

this whole probe that's happening to palin because of her questionable ethics doesn't matter to you because they're probably just a bunch of liberals...god forbid that a republican actually do something shady...

shady like mccain cheating on his crippled wife and marrying his mistress 5 weeks after his divorce...forget the fact that he has stolen a story from one of his self proclaimed favorite books (he mentions "gulag archipelago" in his memoirs) about a guard drawing a cross in the sand in order to appeal to evangelicals (he did not tell this story before his first run for the presidency...i guess it took him decades to find the courage)...i also love that he said "horse sh*t" on live tv, twice...so yes, both mccain and palin seem to be outstanding examples of moral and ethically superior people...and if it weren't 4am, i would love to talk about more of their moral achievements.

I'd rather have someone say horse hockey than America is mean and they never had pride in their country until very recently. Surely not the kind of attitude I would like from the First Family in charge.

While McCain was cheating on his wife, Obama was snorting cocaine behind his wife's back. That knife cuts both ways.
