The community is invited to a “Let Freedom Ring” celebration at Peachtree City United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 4, at 1:30 p.m. in honor of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the nation’s 233rd birthday.

The Declaration of Independence will be read aloud and the church’s belfry bell will be rung for each of the 13 original colonies, with one person representing each state having the honor of ringing the bell.

Several Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops will participate in the program with the PTCUMC handbell choir performing special music. The celebration will be held in the PTCUMC Children and Youth Center at 400 Windgate Road.
