Most of us do not want the government in our business. The folks that work hard pay too much in taxes (the folks who make 250k or less per year). Who is to blame? Democrats want to give our money to the poor, Republicans want to give major breaks to the rich. Middle Class are screwed. The real workers in the country have to carry the weight of the rest. I did not like the Bush Administration, and I fear the socialist tendencies of the Democrats in power even more. I think more folks are thinking this way. I am a fan of the fair tax and of allowing purchasing of health insurance across state line (allowing true competition and removing a big lobby from the state legislature). Government involvement in healthcare will only make for more taxes and less healthcare (I actually worked in GB and saw the results of Nationalized Health systems. )

The liberal side in me thinks it's time to establish relations with Cuba. This self-imposed embargo on all contact with the Cuban people and government has clearly not accomplished anything.

Although I listen to these Radio Talk Shows fairly regularly,there is still a void. A void for someone that can really relate to the needs of our country. Forty years ago, a movie narrated by Rod Serling, "To Serve Man" starred Lloyd Bochner and Susan Cummings. It depicted an alien space craft landing on earth. The head alien gave the people of earth a book. With a special beam, all diseases vanished. Crops grew in abundance. Humans grew fat and happy. Soon, the aliens gave humans free trips back to their home planet. The aliens gave humans a choice to stay on the new planet. Flights left daily. Amazingly, no one returned to earth -- except more space ships for transport.

OK, this is going to be interesting to watch. Individual states can set their own limits which the automakers claim will force the cost of business and sticker prices to go up. Of course, in the meantime, we are dolling out public money to these automakers (Chrysler & GM thus far) which I suspect will not stop.
