Four elementary schools were well represented at the Peachtree City Combined 5th Grade band concert recently at Booth Middle School and the Booth Jazz Band showed the younger students what they have to look forward to. The elementary schools included Crabapple Lane, conductor Jennifer Brinson; Huddleston, conductor Jennifer Brinson; Kedron, conductor Mitchell Birnbaum; and Peachtree City Elementary, conductor Leslie Minor.

Huddleston Pond almost done

Within a month city officials hope to be filling Huddleston Pond back up.

The pond’s level has been dramatically reduced while crews built a new dam and pipe for the emergency spillway. Significant problems with the dam were found in March 2006, and the lake was drained almost completely in September 2006 when more extensive problems were found.
