I’ve ‘Wanted’ a film this good all year!

First let me establish something about “Wanted”: it’s not for the faint of heart. It’s intense, bloody and action-packed, but for anyone who can get past the R-rating and what that entails, it’s a brilliant summer movie.

‘Wall-E’ZZZZZZZZZZZ

This is the worst Pixar film ever. It was created for 8 year-olds.

The year is 2775. Wall-E is a robot who was programmed to pick up trash that the humans left for robots to pick up. He is curious, however, which can sometimes lead to hilarious situations. Besides his pet cockroach (yes, a cockroach), Wall-E has no other companions because he’s the only other living, well kind of living, creature on Earth. He listens to “Hello, Dolly” and other songs in his spare time via an old videotape of them.

A second opinion of ‘Wall-E’

Pixar enters the world of science fiction with this brilliant film about a friendship between robots that crosses the universe and helps humans return to a hospitable Earth.

Oklahoma!

Oaklahoma

Step into your boots and dust off your cowboy hat, because “Oklahoma!” is back in Atlanta. Appearing at The Fox Theatre tonight through June 29, audiences are sure to enjoy the classic musical, which was the first collaboration between Broadway legends Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II.

You’d be ‘Smart’ to see this movie

With all the big movie disappointments being inflicted upon audiences nation-wide this summer, i.e. “The Love Guru,” “You Don’t Mess With The Zohan” and “The Happening,” I was a little nervous going in to see “Get Smart.” I enjoyed the trailer, I was excited about the cast – Steve Carell as Maxwell Smart? Yes, please! – and I was hoping for a smart and funny modern take on the classic TV show. All in all, I came out of the theater pleased with the final product, although I admit not as impressed as I had hoped.

‘The Love Guru’: I hate this movie

I thought all the critics had to be wrong. When I saw reviews that called ”The Love Guru” career suicide for Mike Myers or comparable to watching a pregnant woman smoke a cigarette and drink a beer, I thought that there was no possible way this movie could be that bad.

99 reasons to see ‘Get Smart’

Steve Carroll • Closing steel doors • Top secret headquarters • Laser beams • Skydiving without a parachute • Max kissing Agent 99 • Anne Hathaway • Max kissing Agent 23 • Dwayne “ The Rock” (looks like my dad) Johnson • Shoe phone • Sticky notes • Retina scans • Plastic surgery • Uranium • Bill Murray as Agent 13 • Political jokes • Explosives • Electric fences • Gadgets • Trench coats • Dancing with the Stars • Smoke bombs • Moscow in CGI • Electronic detonation devices • Terrence Stamp • Ferraris • Radioactive bread • James Caan • Secret service • Alan Arkin • CIA jokes • Classic Cars • Suicide hotline: 1-800-Don’t-Do-It • Helicopters • Flying agents • CONTROL • KAOS • Prison breaks • Exploring your emotional side • Computer geeks • $20 million dollar robot insect • Romantic glances • Office romances • Underground lair • Weight-loss tips • Mysterious phone booths • Adorable puppy • Double agents • Beethoven’s Ninth • Scenic Moscow • Max playing Doctor Phil • Chatter • Analysts • Numerous puns • Gun smuggling • Miniature crossbows • Swiss army knife gadgets • A revealing end

‘The Incredible Hulk’: Not easy being green

A while back Dr. Bruce Banner got dosed with some serious gamma rays and now he turns into a hulking, green, angry giant when he gets angry. He doesn’t want this power and the Army does. The Army figures it can create an army of superhumans that could defeat any opponent and take over the world. Bruce doesn’t want the Army to turn his power into a weapon, so he runs. When the Army finds him, they fight and ... “Hulk Smash!”
