A Senoia wwoman was critically injured in an April 17 crash on Ga. Highway 16 when her vehicle struck a tractor-trailer rig.

Senoia Police Maj. Steve Tomlin said officers responded at approximately 5:10 p.m. to the two-vehicle accident that occurred in the area of Hwy. 16 and Harper Road.

“Officers arrived with Coweta County EMS and Fire units and discovered that a commercial tractor-trailer truck driven by Jeffrey Williams, 50, of Smyrna, had collided with a Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Lynda Adcock, 67, of Senoia,” Tomlin said. “Ms. Adcock was extricated from the Chevrolet Cobalt and air lifted to Atlanta Medical Center for medical treatment.”

Tomlin said that as of mid-day Thursday Adcock remained in critical condition.

The preliminary investigation by Senoia Police indicated that the Chevy Cobalt made a left turn from the westbound right lane of Hwy. 16 across the path of the tractor trailer truck which was traveling west in the left westbound passing lane, Tomlin said.

Tomlin said no other vehicles were involved. No charges have been filed at this time and the investigation is still ongoing, he added.
