St. Christopher’s will host tea
St. Christopher Hellenic Orthodox Church will host its annual Philoptochos Tea (Friends of the Poor) on Saturday, May 7 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Peachtree City Event Center, 313 Dividend Drive. Tickets are $25. The tea will feature homemade treats such as scones, savories and four types of sweets. All proceeds go to local Fayette and Coweta charities. Nigerian pastor to speak at HCCC
Action of Faith Ministries will welcome a special guest from Lagos, Nigeria, Pastor Friday Idawor, who will speak at a special service at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, at the Harvest Christian Community Center (HCCC) in Fayetteville. Seating is limited to 200 guests and will be on a first come, first serve basis, so early arrival is encouraged. The HCCC is at 383 Fayette Place, Fayetteville. FPC plans Spring Fling May 7
Fayette Presbyterian Church on Ga. Highway 92 North in Fayetteville will hold its 5th Annual Spring Fling on Saturday, May 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free. Activities for all ages include giant inflatables, pony rides, carnival games, pet adoptions, live music, health screenings, giveaways, craft sale, book sale, bake sale, and more. CDM will begin ‘Hype Night’ services
Christ Discipleship Ministries (CDM), located at 114 W. Campbellton Street, Fairburn, will launch a weekly Saturday evening Hype Night church service beginning Saturday, May 7, from 6 – 7:30 p.m. The service will include a D.J., rap, spoken Word, step dancing, mime, and more. CDM will host Spring Revival
Christ Discipleship Ministries (CDM), 114 W. Woolsey plans High Attendance Sunday
Woolsey Baptist Church, 115 Hampton Road in Fayetteville will have High Attendance Day in Sunday School on Sunday, May 15. Sunday School starts at 9:30 a.m. Worship services are: 8:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. A cook-out will be at 12:15 p.m. with free hamburgers, hot dogs and side items. There will be plenty of games for the children and adults at the cook-out. The entire community is invited. Brooks UMC plans blood drive May 23
The Red Cross will be at Brooks UMC for a blood drive on May 23, from 3 to 8 p.m. Appointments are suggested but walk-ins are welcome. Two pairs of roundtrip Delta Air Line tickets will be given away to donors who give blood between April 1 and June 30, 2011. Brooks UMC is three miles south of Ga. Highway 85 at Starrs Mill on Ga.
